GM's Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation is trash
Sep 08, 2023
Do not get me wrong this is a good all around vehicle, it is good at truck things as well as hauling the family around. The main issue we have had is related to the cylinder deactivation feature. This feature is designed to save you gas but instead it costs you a lot of money in unnecessary repairs. We finally deleted ours and I suggest for anyone with a vehicle equipped with this stupid feature to do the same.
