Tog gear worst car
Aug 02, 2023
This was voted as the Top Gears worst car in the world. Their reasoning was that Lexus should have know better and it is kind of true. I bought this car simply because I was curious and I wanted to see for myself. Well I was disappointed but not the level that the Top Gear show commentators professed. The car has very poor steering response and the handling is something to be desired. Also the car seemed out of date even by 2008 standards. Also the 4.3 V8 is a bit of a let down, don't get me wrong it is not anemic however for such a small car I was expecting the 0 to 60 times in the 4 to 5 second range but this thing takes over 6 seconds to get to 60. Again this is not really a gripe just pointing out the obvious, such a small car should feel more lively with a v8 engine. All and all it is not a horrible car but the car was NEVER made with the car enthusiast in mind. Having said that we have enjoyed taking the car to the beach. There is something special about convertibles, getting the top down and letting the wind flow through your hair is in itself an experience. All and all this car is perfect for a retired couple as a 2nd or 3rd vehicle to enjoy on leisurely Sunday drives however car enthusiasts will always find it lacking in many departments. It is missing that secret souse that makes a car cool.
