The best family car that you can still enjoy driving
Aug 02, 2023
This has to be one of the best family cars ever made. It is so much better then all of the horrible SUVs people drive these days. I think of it as a Swiss army knife it can do everything to through at it. With its symmetrical all wheel drive and low center of gravity it is perfect in the snow and can tackle a bit of off road stuff. Also because it is not tall and heavy it is perfectly plated during spirited driving, however if you are getting one to drive I would suggest getting the turbo XT model instead. The XT has a bit more power but they are getting harder and harder to find on a used car market. Most of the people that bought them new bought the naturally aspirated one like mine. The car has plenty of interior space and cargo volume, it is a perfect long distance highway cruiser. I saved the best for last, you can get the older ones like mine with a 5 speed manual transmission, so if you are true gear head and want a family car but still want to row your own gears this older Outback and the Subaru Forester are basically your only options. #savethemanuals
