Bad Engine
Aug 02, 2023
Had my WRX for 2 month with only 60k and now I have a serious engine problem. The mechanic told me it is "Ringland failure" and that is is somewhat common with Subaru boxer engine. I am not sure what caused it but I read online that it could be due to the use of low octane fuel with these types of turbo cars but I used the recommended high octane fuel so I am not sure what happened. It is most possible that the previous owner drove the car hard. I am still trying to get Subaru dealer to step in and fix this but only time will tell. Besides this major issue the car has been a joy to drive.

Pocket Rocket
Aug 02, 2023
I wanted to buy a WRX hatch for a long time, I saved up for many month and I finally got my baby. It is not the STI but still plenty of fun to drive and so far it has been very reliable. The only little issue I have is with the interior panel noise but it is really not that bad and I can live with it. Also on a related topic I do not know why these cars do not depreciate, I got mine used and I still payed almost 18k for it.
